![]() ![]() My goal was to basically take the same 3 folders that OneDrive can sync with Windows (Desktop, Document, Pictures), move them over to the locally created OneDrive folder, then create softlinks to them in the Users home drive. I actually have gone down this hole, and its a tricky one. ![]() So my question becomes, anyone ever come up with a method roll this process out on the mac so it is complete automated, or even done something similar? I was poking around for some hints out there, but outside of Microsofts pages that read like archaic texts of yesteryear I have not seen much on people trying to sync things, and more it be people copying their files to a folder for backup which I know is just not going to fly as a backup solution. While this is not the method I wanted to use and pushed hard for a dedicated cloud system like Backblaze or Code42, costs basically killed it for us especially thanks to covid, and we have a contract with Microsoft that opens this avenue up for the PC, so im back to rigging things up with shoestring and bubble gum on the Mac side. While I have not been tasked with the job yet, I know its coming that my company is going to want to start using OneDrive as a cloud backup for our My Docs and Mac User folders.
